Heartburn-Smart Exercise
Everyday activities that may not stir up your acid reflux disease symptoms.
For many people with acid reflux disease, exercise is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it can help relieve stress and burn calories. On the other hand, the only burn you might feel is in the form of heartburn.
Here are some activities that shouldn't aggravate your acid reflux disease and will burn more calories than you might think. These are based on average calories burned by a person weighing 154 pounds. Heavier people may burn more calories.
Before you begin an exercise program, discuss it with your doctor. Be sure to choose an exercise that does not bring on your symptoms.
