Purple Plus™ Savings Card Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Purple Plus™ Savings Card work?
After you receive your card, simply present it to your pharmacist. There
is no activation required to begin using your savings card. If you have
prescription coverage and your copay is more than $25, you may receive
up to $50 in savings on each of your next 12 refills.
If you do not have prescription coverage, AstraZeneca will cover the
first $50 of the cost for each of your next 12 refills of NEXIUM.
How long can I use the Purple Plus™ Savings Card?
The Purple Plus™ Savings Card must be used within 18 months
after first use to remain activated.
What happens after those 12 refills?
This card cannot be reactivated.
Why do I no longer receive paper rebates?
AstraZeneca has recently developed the Purple Plus™ Savings
Card to replace the paper rebates you may have received in the past. Your
card can be used right at the pharmacy counter when you refill your
prescription. There's no paperwork and no waiting for a rebate.
What are the eligibility requirements?
This offer is good for qualified customers for the purchase of at least a
30-day supply of NEXIUM and may not be used for any other product. This
offer is good for the purchase of NEXIUM manufactured for AstraZeneca LP
and lawfully purchased from an authorized retailer in the United States or
its territories. This offer may not be combined with any other offer,
including any coupon, discount, or prescription savings card program. It
is void for mail order and is not valid for prescriptions purchased under
Medicaid, Medicare, or similar state or federally funded health care
programs and is void where prohibited by law, taxed, or restricted. For
Massachusetts residents, this offer is not valid. Card must be presented
along with a valid prescription for NEXIUM at the time of purchase. If you
have prescription coverage and your copay is more than $25, you may
receive up to $50 in savings on each refill for NEXIUM (up to 12 refills).
If you do not have prescription coverage, that is, you are paying cash for
your prescription, you may receive $50 in savings on each refill for
NEXIUM (up to 12 refills). Offer is limited to one savings card per person
for up to 12 refills for NEXIUM within 18 months after first use. Offer
good only in the United States and its territories. AstraZeneca reserves
the right to discontinue this offer at any time.

What if I am enrolled in a government, state, or federally funded prescription
benefit program?
Unfortunately, you will not be eligible for the Purple Plus™ Savings
Card program, due to government regulations.
What if I receive my NEXIUM through the mail?
This card does not cover patients who receive their prescription through the
mail. To take advantage of the savings, bring this card to your pharmacy.
If I forget my card, can I still receive benefits?
Yes, if you go to the same pharmacy where you initially refilled your
prescription with the Purple Plus™ Savings Card. Please remind your
pharmacist that you have the Purple Plus™ Savings Card from the maker
of NEXIUM.
What happens if I lose my card?
If you lose your card after you’ve used it and received your first refill, the
information should already be stored in the pharmacy computer system of the
pharmacy first used. In that case, the card will not be necessary. If you lose
your card before using it at a pharmacy or you lose it and want to switch
pharmacies, your doctor can provide you with another card or you may request
one by calling 1-866-379-7039.
Can I switch pharmacies at any time with this program?
Yes; however, when you enter a new pharmacy, it will be necessary to present
your Purple Plus™ Savings Card at the new pharmacy if it is not
affiliated with the previous pharmacy.
